Greener Feydhoo, Heritage & Identity
Full Implementation Plan (2026-2031)
Cleaner & Greener Feydhoo
Transform Feydhoo into a cleaner, more beautiful ward through practical environmental action that every resident can see and feel, improving waste management, increasing green spaces, and building community ownership of our public areas.
Why This Matters for Feydhoo-Magudhoo
A clean environment is not a luxury, it is the foundation of daily dignity. Families should not have to live with unmanaged waste, unpleasant odors, or streets without shade.
Children should be able to walk to school along tree-lined paths. Elders should feel proud of the public spaces where they gather.
This pillar is about delivering those basics, systematically and sustainably, over five years.
Legal Basis Summary:
Under the Decentralization Act (Law 7/2010), councils are mandated to maintain a safe, healthy environment and deliver local services including waste management. The Environment Protection and Preservation Act (Law 4/93) and Waste Management Regulation (2013/R-58) set the standards we must follow. All programs in this pillar fall squarely within these legal responsibilities.
